Here's a video that i worked on, on my blade runner model.this was an animation that i had to do using my created model and want i went with was the cards i was dealt with and what i went with was have my blade runner veichle go over a ramp and get a bit of air and come back to solid ground and dissappear of screen and with my idea set in place i wanted to try to make this as realisic as possible so i had to take into account gravity, he weight of the vehicle, the speed and i had to try aline the veichle with the ramp so there wouldn't of been a gap between the veihcle and the ramp or it didn't phase through the ramp. I loaded up my blade runner vehicle, drawed out a plane for my vehicle to run and a rectangle on an angle to create a make shift ramp and a light at the centre of attention.

Trying out animation on 3d max..., this was the first time i tried animation on 3D studio max, on this we showed off our animation skills, showed that we could such things as this, this animation is just a tea cup lifting it self up and tipping it self and then coming backdown, nothing impressive.  on the bottom of the screen there this bar were you can set how long you want the animation and set when you want to move your animation so when you move your object it recorcds what you moved.

Here is my my one wheeled motorcycle called the blade runner, i have been working on this in 3D max, what i was going for here was a one wheeled motorcycle that could charge through enemies and cover and be able to cut right throughthem, with some fire power to attack long range, there is a tv screen to see through the the wheel and to find enemies like a sona radar. how i made this, i started off with a cylinder and created so it would look like a thin donut so that's the main wheel bases, for the chair i used to square blocks to create something that came out as deck chair, i created an engine and for the engine i drew out a sphere and molded it to give it some sort engine characteristic. when making this model i wanted to put a bit realism from a real-life one wheeled motorcycle so i but some structure in the one wheeled motor cycle to give it balance and to make it look real and that could hold the guns and the TV screen, to make the tv screen i attached a small pyrnaid, for the guns i made a sphere and the cylinder for the guns then i used the copy trick (hold+shift) to create multiple guns.

if i was to compare this to a professional example i would say it was right up in the professional example but it needs more detail.

when i showed off my blade runner they weren't entily impressed, they criticized that it look like to like over vehicles.

the only thing that i could of done to improve would be to have a better varaiton of colours so that it would look much better and gritty.

what i would of done differently would be to add little ruged blades around the vehicle.

on this bases i didn't what i already learned at the time, i just used the basic that i already aquired from early lessons.

Here's me messing around on 3D studio MAX playing around with the lighting on a teapot, I used multi lighting around the teapot and it came up with this. this was when we started to learn about lighting and the effect it has, when it lights up the area, the object and the shadow it forms, when messing around with the light tool we learned that there were different types of lights tools that produce different effects, as well as different light tools you can also choose the amount of light you can produce and size of light.
Here's my insperation for my adventure icon.

icons part 2

This is canoscan that i used inorder to tranfer my image in real life to my computer.
Cannon is a Japanese company that specialises in the manufacture of imaging and optical products, including scanners. CanoScan offer you the ultimate in reproduction quality, producing exceptionally detailed images. They are ideal for enlargement and high resolution printing, with 48-bit colour depth ensuring accurate colour reproduction. The built-in film adapter handles all your film scanning needs effortlessly. It scans 12x 35mm filmstrip and 4x mounted slides - either positive or negative - in a single operation. It also supports 120 format film (max. 6x 22cm). Achieve new levels in productive scan performance. Scan 35mm negative film fast, at approx. 18 seconds per frame (1200 dpi), or scan an A4 colour photo or document in approx. 7 seconds (300 dpi). Start scanning straight away, without waiting, thanks to zero warm-up time – and save power at the same time. Restore scratched, damaged, dusty and faded film with ease, without tedious manual retouching. Canon’s unique FARE (Film Automatic Retouching and Enhancement) Level 3 technology - integrated in the scanner - does the job for you using an infrared light that scans for physical defects on the film surface. QARE Level 3 technology automatically restores damaged photo prints. Enjoy simple operation even for the most complex functions. 7 EZ buttons give you instant access to Auto Scan, Copy, Email and the creation of multi-page PDFs. The ‘Auto-Scan’ button recognises photo, document and film types, providing suitable settings for scanning and saving. Auto Photo Fix II and Auto Document Fix software optimises the output and quality of final images or documents. The built-in AC adaptor makes the unit more compact and reduces desk clutter. Powerful SilverFast SE, Adobe Photoshop Elements and ArcSoft PhotoStudio software comes bundled with the unit, making the most of your scans. Manage scanned files easily using Canon’s MP Navigator EX software. Convert documents to searchable PDFs, complete with password protection to safeguard confidential information. Another invaluable software function is Stitch Assist, enabling you to scan A3 pages by seamlessly stitching two A4 scans together.

icons part 1

here is my finialeized drawing plan for my icons.(bamboo pen & touch.) the steps that i took to do this was scan my work through canoscan and made shore i was in photoshop then i click on file, import, canoscan, preview and scan and then my image came on photoshop which i then copied onto my blogger.

this work is a mock up/a plan to my designs and thought on what icon i'm wanting for video game genre icons. i started off by asking myself what sort of genres i wanted, so i choose puzzle, adventure, sci-fi, action, horror. Once i choose my genres i started making up my designs each genres which you can see as well as a personal profile on each icons.

comparing this to a  professional example, i would say i'm heading in the right direction on how a professional does it by planning it out and writting about each one.

the thing i could improve or change about this was do more examples of different icons.

Here's me playing on 3D MAX, this is when we were messing around on the colour effects were i draw out 3 random objects, then i went on this menu were there were sevral spheres were you could set up numeruces colour effects, once on that menu i selected an effect and then a colour and then dragged that colour effect on to a object which covered that object in that colour effect as you can see above.
I did three different colour effects to three different shapes.
here is my furturistic space ship, thats awsome. it was designed in 3D studio max. with this little project we were experimenting more with what you can do with a an object and strech different parts of it. when designing our spaceships we used a tool called "the mirror tool" which copies the object but what you do to one the other one does the same. how i started my spaceship was i built one of the two thrusters/engines and i modeled it to my vision, then i used the "mirror tool" which copied a second thruster/engine then i made a reasonable amount of space so i could build my cock-pit to my vision.

If i was to compare this to a professional example i would say that it needs to be more detailed in design and colour maybe a brand but my imagination is aiming in the right direction.

when i showed off my spaceship, they won't that intrested in it because they said it was to plane simple but i think it looks great.

i don't think that i would change anything about it, i like the way mine spaceship came out.

the one thing that i would of done differently was done a different spaceship that i thought of, completely different to the one above, a space crusier.

when making this spaceship i learned about the "mirror tool" another way of coping things.
